"Nite and Day" is the debut single by Al B. Sure! from his debut album In Effect Mode (1988). It reached number seven on the US BillboardHot 100 and number one on the BillboardHot Black Singles chart.[2] The B-side of the record is the French version of the song, "Nuit et Jour".[3]
A music video for the song was released in 1988 and it features Al B. Sure! performing the song in various locations throughout New York City, including on a roof top, in Central Park, and on the street. It was directed by Peter Nydrle.[4]

R&B and hip-hop duo P.M. Dawn sampled "Nite and Day" on their single, "Sometimes I Miss You So Much", from their 1995 album, Jesus Wept.[5] Al B. Sure! was featured in the music video shot for the song.
