The gray-barred wren (Campylorhynchus megalopterus) is a species of bird in the family Troglodytidae. It is endemic to Mexico.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
Sub-species
- C. m. megalopterus — Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt ;
- C. m. nelsoni — southern Sierra Madre Oriental.
