Tina Louise Germaine (born 1971, in Margate, Kent) is an English actress and model best known for her appearance as usherette Sylvia Berry in the 1993 Dennis Potter serial Lipstick on Your Collar. She played chambermaid Kate Hargreaves in the six-part 1994 comedy The House Of Windsor.[1]

Life and career

Germaine's father, David, left her mother, Yvonne, and two elder brothers, Ian and Mark, before she was born.[2] At school she was nicknamed "Tin Ribs" because she was so skinny.[3] On 14 February 1994 she married[4] hairdresser Lea Carter on the shores of Loch Lomond. "He's my brother's best friend, so I've known him for years," she said.[5] They have a daughter, Daisy Louise (b. May 1995)

Germaine is said to have inspired Potter's final script, Karaoke, but her pregnancy prevented being cast in the production.[6]
