A. C. Murali Mohan (1960-25 June 2014), also known as Bala Murali Mohan, was a Tamil film actor who appeared in Tamil-language films. He acted in movies as well as several advertisements. He is notable for a popular commercial for Horlicks and was popularly called Horlicks Mama and for his role as Laxman in the Popular serial Thendral.[2][3][4]

Film career

He started his career in Telugu film on 1975. He has acted with heroines like Jayasudha and Jayachitra. Later he started a production company and produced a Telugu film directed by director K. Balachandar. In the early 2000s he started in a character and comedy based roles in Tamil films. He has acted more than 350 films. His role in Alli Thandha Vaanam, Minnale and Rendu were notable among his performance.[citation needed]

Death

He committed suicide by hanging himself from the roof on the night of 25 June 2014. He is survived by his wife Seetha Rani, and son Uma Shankar.[2][5]
