Lucy Atkins is a British author and journalist. She writes non-fiction books and reporting on health and parenting. She also writes suspense novels, including The Missing One, The Other Child, and The Night Visitor.

Atkins is a literary critic for The Sunday Times. She served as a judge in the 2017 Costa Book Awards[1] and has talked about books on BBC Radio Oxford.[2] She has also written for UK other newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, The Times, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph,[3] Psychologies, Red, Woman & Home, and Grazia.

Atkins is the daughter of the lexicographer B. T. S. Atkins and the niece of linguist John McHardy Sinclair.
