Rubāb bint Imra’ al-Qays (Arabic: رُبَاب ٱبْنَت ٱمْرِئ ٱلْقَيْس), or Umm Rubāb (Arabic: أُمّ رُبَاب) was a wife of Husayn ibn Ali, and the mother of Ali al-Asghar ibn Husayn (also known as ‘Abdullāh) and Ruqayyah. Her father was Imra’ al-Qays ibn ‘Adī bin Aws (Arabic: ٱمْرِئ ٱلْقَيْس ٱبْن عَدِي ٱبْن أَوْس).[1]

As a result of their deep affection, her husband Husayn composed poetry about her, and after her husband Husayn’s death, she composed poetry about him[2].

She lived one year in Karbala after Husayn ibn Ali died. She expired after that.
