Port Fountain was[clarification needed] a fountain near Oyster Rocks in Karachi, Pakistan.[1] It was inaugurated by the President of Pakistan Pervez Musharaff on 15 January 2006.[2] The 620-feet tall fountain, believed to be the second highest fountain in the world,[3] was completed at a cost of Rs. 320 million by the Karachi Port Trust. The original cost of the project was Rs. 224 million but this escalated later.[4] In October 2008, an FIR was registered regarding theft of 22 components of the fountain.[5][6]
