The blue-vented hummingbird (Saucerottia hoffmanni) is a bird in the family Trochilidae. Some taxonomic authorities consider it conspecific with the steely-vented hummingbird (Saucerottia saucerottei), while others consider it distinct. It is found from western Nicaragua to central Costa Rica.
