Charles Mader Gilbert (July 8, 1919 – August 13, 1983) was an American center fielder in Major League Baseball from 1940 to 1947.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of outfielder Larry Gilbert. He died at age 64 in New Orleans

Charlie Gilbert is the first and one of three Los Angeles Dodgers to have a multi-homer game in his first five starts along with Cody Bellinger, Yasiel Puig.[citation needed]
