Johnny Whyte, (died 1985)[1] was an English-born television screenwriter best known for being a script editor, as well as an executive producer on The Mavis Bramston Show and Australian soap opera Number 96. Of the original writing team, Whyte was the one considered the screenwriter that knew serial drama the best having worked in England on soap opera Coronation Street.[2]
