He was a right-handed batsman (RHB) and a right-arm slow underarm bowler. He was mainly associated with Surrey County Cricket Club and made 41 known appearances in first-class matches.[1] He was the youngest member of the All England XI that toured Australia in 1861-62. The team was led by H H Stephenson and they sailed on the SS Great Britain from Liverpool to Melbourne.[2]
