Manmohini[1] is an Indian supernatural romantic hindi language television series. Created by Prateek Sharma, it aired from 27 November 2018 - 22 July 2020 on Zee TV with 2 seasons.[2]
Between November 2018 to November 2019, the series featured Reyhna Malhotra, Giaa Manek, Ankit Siwach and Garima Singh Rathore in lead roles.[3] It revamped with a new season on 12 November 2019 starring Reyhna Malhotra, Karam Rajpal and Vaishali Takkar.[4]
Plot
The story is about a witch named Mohini (Reyhna Pandit), who has waited for her previous 500 year-old love, Rana Saa, who has taken rebirth in the name of Ram (Ankit Siwach). On the other hand, Ram is a businessman who lives with his wife, Siya (Garima Singh Rathore), and his half brother, Vivian. Ram was about to divorce Siya but when Siya learns about Mohini, she decides not to divorce Ram and to save him from Mohini and her evil intentions. Siya agrees to save Ram from every evil force and decides to take on Mohini's every fatal blow first. Siya fails Mohini's every move and stands as a shield of Ram all the time.
Before 500 Years
Rana Bhanu Pratap aka Rana Saa (Ankit Siwach) and his wife Rajarajeshwari loved each other. Mohini, who was a maid in Rana sa's palace, loved Rana Sa very much and wanted him.One day,Mohini tricks him into getting wounded by some rival warriors who were then apparently defeated by Mohini's black magic. He is then revived by Mohini and in return, he promises Mohini to help her whenever she needed it.Days passed and Mohini confesses to Rana sa that she's pregnant with his child and revealed to him how they got intimate in an attempt save him that day. Rana sa, shocked and guilt ridden,went to Rajrajeshwari,who was pregnant, for confessing his mistake and then asked her to leave him as he would have to accept Mohini.At that instant ,Mohini occurred revealing her true nature and slits Rajrajeshwari's throat.Rana sa immediately took her to the temple and insists the priestess to at least save their child as Rajrajeshwari was heavily bleeding. Their child is then born and Rajrajeshwari warns Mohini that in every birth there will be a devoted wife to Rana sa's reincarnation who will free Rana sa from her clutches.She dies afterwards.
Back to present,Siya curses Mohini to having killed a pregnant woman and tried every possible way to save Ram from from her. However Mohini, having heavier level of obsession for Ram,tricks Ram into spending a night with her in exchange for saving Siya who ,under Mohini's black magic, was in almost dead state.Ram reluctantly agrees and asked Mohini to never come into their lives again.Siya got saved and then they're both now happy to have a normal life as before.
5 years later
Ram and Siya are seen living a happier life though failed to conceive a child.A 5 year old boy come into their lives under mysterious circumstances and they decided to adopt him and named him Mann.He's seen possessing black powers and started creating misunderstandings between Ram and Siya.After some days, he's revealed to be Mohini's child with Ram,whom she had intentionally send to them in order to create havoc in their lives.Ram and Siya came to know the truth and Siya still decided to keep him and make him human away from all the dark powers.However Mohini,still obsessed with Ram, killed Siya,who was pregnant at the time.Ram was left divastated over her death and infuriated,he attacks Mohini.She kills him too for not reciprocating her long lasting love for him.

Production
The production and airing of the show was halted indefinitely in late March 2020 due to the Covid-19 outbreak in India.[8] Because of the outbreak, the filming of television series and films was halted on 19 March 2020 and expected to resume on 1 April 2020 and the series was last broadcast on 24 March 2020 when the remaining episodes were aired.[9][10][11] It was supposed to go off air in April 2020 which could not due to the halt of shooting.[12]
The show resumed on 14 July 2020 with fresh episodes and ended on 22 July 2020.[13]
