H.E.H. the Nizam's Charitable Trust

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

After Hyderabad's accession to independent India, every year around 2000 students benefit from various scholarship schemes by the H.E.H. The Nizam’s Charitable Trust, headed by its chairman, Prince Muffakham Jah - the grandson of 7th Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan.[1][2]

Beneficiaries include students belonging to states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 5th to 10th class, +2 intermediate level, and degree students.[3]

Allegations

It is alleged by the Nizam trust officials that the P.V. Narasimha Rao government officials constantly harass them by sending baseless notices to them.

[4]In one case, the Supreme Court Judge described about H.E.H. The Nizam's Charitable Trust, that :

This is indeed a Secular Comprehensive Public Charitable Trust which, unfortunately, had a prolonged litigation directing towards bigger scope for corruption by the Government ministers and officials.
