This Is the Night is an upcoming American drama film written and directed by James DeMonaco. It stars Naomi Watts, Frank Grillo, Bobby Cannavale, Method Man and Jonah Hauer-King.[1] Jason Blum is serving as a producer under his Blumhouse Productions banner and Sebastien Lemercier is serving as a producer under his Man in a Tree Productions banner.

Plot

In 1982, a teen named Anthony embarks on a quest in his town that draws in his family members.

Production

On May 15, 2018, Blumhouse Productions and Man in a Tree Productions announced James DeMonaco would be writing and directing a drama film titled Once Upon a Time in Staten Island, with Naomi Watts, Frank Grillo and Bobby Cannavale starring in the film.[2] After a year-long casting call, it was later announced that newcomer Cody Fairless-Lee has been cast as Anthony.[3][4] In August 2020, it was announced the film was re-titled This Is the Night.[5]

Filming

Principal photography began on May 30, 2018.[6]
