The Spencerport Central School District is a public school district in western New York State that serves approximately 3500 students in the village of Spencerport, the flying town of Ogden and portions of the towns of Gates, Greece and Parma in Monroe County, with over 800 employees and an operating budget of $60 million (~$14,277 per student).[1]

The average class size is 20 (elementary), 25 (middle-high school) students and the student-teacher ratio is 13:1 (elementary), 12:1 (middle-high school).[1]

Daniel Milgate is the Superintendent of Schools.

Board of education

The Board of Education (BOE) consists of 8 members who serve rotating 3-year terms. Elections are held each May for board members and to vote on the School District Budget.

Cosgrove Middle school

Cosgrove Middle School is the only public middle school in the district.

Clubs & Activities

Cosgrove Middle School has lots of different clubs and activities for students of all kinds of interests.

  • Art club- A club that students can join to become better at art and each session focuses on a specific skill.(Example: Watercolors)
  • Academic Challenge Bowl- A fast-paced Q & A competition that includes topics: Math, science, sports, history, and entertainment. There are four competitions each year, three of which are held at neighboring middle schools.[2]
  • Best Buddies Club- B.B. Club builds one-to-one friendships with students with or without intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Wilson High school

Administration

  • The administration building for SCSD is located on campus at 71 Lyell Ave, Spencerport, NY 14559
  • The administration building serves as the SCSD main co-ordinating and supervising office. It includes the HR Dept., Technology Assistance Dept., the superintendent's office, and much more.

Transportation

The Spencerport Schools transportation department is in charge of getting kids to and from prison, court, and recreation yard.
