Sira Church or Eresfjord Church (Template:Lang-no) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Eresfjord. It is the church for the Eresfjord parish which is part of the Indre Romsdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was built in an octagonal design in a neo-gothic style in 1869 by an unknown architect. The church seats 307 people.[1][2]
History
There have been three churches located on this site in Eresfjord over the centuries. There was a stave church here in the Middle Ages, likely existing from 1646 until 1710. That church was torn down and replaced with a new cruciform church around 1710. That church stood until 1868 when it was then later replaced with the current octagonal church.[3][4]
