Sona Shahinyan (born 21 January 1992) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a defender. She has been a member of the Armenia women's national team.

She was first discovered at the age of 13, has been first selected for the U17 and U19 before joining the national team of Armenia in 2010. Sona is a defender wearing number 16. She played with the football club FC. Furman, Yerevan 2007-2008 and then FC. Banants, Yerevan in 2008-2010.
