Proculus Geganius Macerinus was consul of the Roman republic in 440 BC.

Papirius belonged to the patrician Gegania gens. He was probably a brother of the more famous Marcus Geganius Macerinus, consul in 447, 443, 437 BC and censor in 435 BC.[1]

Consulship

Geganius was elected consul together with Titus Menenius Lanatus[2][3] or Lucius Menenius Lanatus[4][5] in 440 BC. There was a famine in Rome during the year and a praefectus annonae, Lucius Minucius Esquilinus Augurinus, was elected to solve the crisis[6][2][3][5][7][1]
