Brent David Brede (born September 13, 1971) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder.
Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 5th round of the 1990 Major League Baseball draft, Brede made his MLB debut with the Twins on September 8, 1996. He was a member of the inaugural Arizona Diamondbacks team that began play in Major League Baseball in 1998, and appeared in his final major game for them on September 27 of that year. He played one season with the Chiba Lotte Marines in 1999 before retiring in September 2000. Brede played American Legion baseball for Trenton Post 778 GATOR Brent Brede was a highly successful high school basketball player starting all 4 years on varsity. Brede played on teams that won 3 basketball regional titles and 1 state championship where the lefty scored 36 points in a double overtime victory. Wesclin had their best player all-stater Paul Lusk (Creighton Assistant) fouled out late in the game. Matt Fridley Mike Brink Matt Brandemeyer the other 3 seniors stepped up to help their teammate. The 5 of them are still friends today. Brent Brede is now a high school teacher and coaches basketball at his alma-mater
