Qorçu (Gorchu) is a village in the Lachin District of Azerbaijan. The village is 64 kilometres away from Lachin, and is 1884 meters above sea level. It is located near a large forested area.

History

The village was located in the Armenian-occupied territories surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, coming under the control of ethnic Armenian forces in 1992 during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. The population of the village at the time was 654.

The village subsequently became part of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh as part of its Kashatagh Province, referred to as Haytagh (Armenian: Հայթաղ). The community was sustained by agriculture consisting mostly of livestock. There is a high school, a library, and a post office in the village.

It was returned to Azerbaijan as part of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh ceasefire agreement.
