Ali III was the fourteenth independent Shah of Shirvan. He was the successor and nephew of Shirvanshah Kubad. In 1049, Ali succeeded his uncle Kubad, but one year later he was deposed by his uncle, Sallar. Ali managed to escape but was captured and executed by forces of Sallar near Baylaqan.[1]
