The Gryphon's Skull is a historical fiction novel written by H.N. Turteltaub (a pseudonym of Harry Turtledove).[1] It follows the adventures of Menedemos and his cousin, Sostratos. It is the second book in the Hellenic Traders series.[2][3]

Plot introduction

The book centers around the discovery of an apparent gryphon skull (in reality a skull from a dinosaur), and the efforts of Sostratos to get the skull back to scholars for study.
