Płomień Sosnowiec is a Polish professional volleyball team based in Sosnowiec, founded in 1992. A phoenix club of the successful Płomień Milowice, the club is a one time Polish Champion (1996) and two–time Polish Cup winner (2003, 2004).

History

The club continues the tradition of Płomień Milowice, after merging the latter with KS Górnik Kazimierz creating a new club under the name GKS Kazimierz Płomień Sosnowiec.

In 2008 the club due to financial problems had to withdraw from the highest level of Polish Volleyball League.[1][2]

Since 2008 the club functions as a youth team, and in 2011 UKS Kazimierz Płomień Sosnowiec and MKS MOS Płomień Sosnowiec merged creating UKS MOS Kazimierz Płomień Sosnowiec.
