"I Just Wanna Stop" is a song by Canadian singer/songwriter Gino Vannelli. Released as a single in August 1978, the song is his biggest hit single to date, reaching number one in his native Canada[2] and number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.[3] It appears on his sixth album, Brother to Brother. The song was produced by the three brothers Gino, Joe and Ross Vannelli, and written by Ross.

Cover versions

  • R&B/jazz singer Angela Bofill covered the song for her 1988 Capitol release, Intuition. This version peaked at #11 on the soul chart.[10]
  • In 2013, Brazilian singer Maurício Manieri's version of the song featured on the Rede Record TV series Pecado Mortal.
