The Hasandong Formation is an Early Cretaceous (Aptian to Albian) geologic formation in South Korea. It has been dated to the late Aptian and earliest Albian, between 118.0 ± 2.6 Ma and 112.4 ± 1.3 Ma.[1] Dinosaur remains diagnostic to the genus level are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation.[2] Tracks of the pterosaur ichnogenus Pteraichnus have also been recovered from the unit.[3]
Fossil content
- Carcharodontosauridae indet.[4]
- Hadongsuchus acerdentis[5]
- Chiayusaurus asianensis? (possibly a synonym of Chiayusaurus lacustris) - "Tooth."[6]
- Pukyongosaurus milleniumi - "Cervical and dorsal vertebrae, ribs, limb and girdle elements."[6][7]
