Jeremy Snyder is an American poet. He serves as poet laureate of Vallejo, California.[4][1] He hosts a poetry open mic, Poetry by the Bay, every Thursday night.[5][1][4] Poetry by the Bay was founded in 2008 by Kyrah Ayers.[6][7][1] Snyder began writing poetry at age 5.[3] He was preceded in office by D.L. Lang and Dr. Genea Brice, [8] and his term runs from January 2020 to December 31, 2021.[9]
Background
Snyder was born in Vallejo, California,[4] educated at the University of Montana,[2] and served in the United States Navy.[2]
