Tito Rubio

Evaristo "Tito" Rubio (February 5, 1902 - March 8, 1938): was a Cuban American mobster and the top associate of businessman and crime boss Charlie Wall. Wall had the pedigree in Tampa, Florida's Anglo community. Rubio was his key man with the Latins. Bolita throwing was an important part of Tampa culture at that time. Rubio was co - owned the El Dorado Club with Wall and the Lincoln Club with a Sicilian - American mobster, named Eddie Virella in Tampa, Florida. Virella, was shot down by gunmen on 31 January 1937. Rubio himself was attacked and killed on the back porch of his home on 15th St. in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida, on March 8, 1938.
