Carlton Lee Cooke (born July 12, 1944) is an American politician and businessman. He served as mayor of Austin, Texas from 1988 to 1991.[1] He moved to Austin, Texas in 1970, from service in Vietnam as an air force officer, and was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base. He is a former employee of the Texas Instruments. He served on Austin City Council for two terms, starting in 1977, and was President/CEO of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce from 1983 to 1987.[2]
