Thomas Harrison Clegg (16 October 1934 – 24 July 2016)[1] was a British television and film director. He was known as an action director,[2] responsible for many episodes of The Sweeney, its cinema version Sweeney 2 (1978), and Sharpe.

In March 2014, Tom joined actress Georgina Hale as very special guests at a 43tv Retro TV Sweeney Meet in Hammersmith, London. Both Tom & Georgina gave an after dinner talk about their careers in TV & Film, and in particular The Sweeney.
