Bel Schenk (born 1975 in Adelaide, South Australia) is an Australian poet resident in Melbourne. She has performed her work widely in venues around Australia.[1]

She is the author of Every Time You Close Your Eyes" (Wakefield Press, 2014),[2]Ambulances & Dreamers (Wakefield Press, 2008) and Urban Squeeze (Ginninderra Press 2003).[3]

Schenk’s creative work is complemented by her arts administration work – from 2008 to 2011 she was employed as the artistic director of Express Media in Melbourne,[4] and worked for many years prior to that at the SA Writers’ Centre.
