The Ação Libertadora Nacional (ALN), the National Liberation Action, was a Brazilian communist guerrilla movement formed in the last months of 1967 to stand against the military dictatorship of 1964–1985. It was founded by Carlos Marighella after he was expelled from the Brazilian Communist Party.
