ABC islands (Leeward Antilles)
Appearance
The ABC islands are Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. They are the three western-most islands of the Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean, north of Falcón State, Venezuela. From west to east they are, in order: Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire.
All three islands are part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Aruba is an autonomous, self-governing member state of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Bonaire and Curaçao are in the Netherlands Antilles. They may be contrasted with the SSS islands (Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten), all three in the Netherlands Antilles.
