AMX International is a joint venture between Alenia (46.5%), Embraer (29.7%) and Aermacchi (23.6%) to build the AMX ground attack aircraft. The company is headquartered in Rome.

The partner companies produce different sections of the aircraft as follows:

  • Alenia: centre fuselage section and tail fin
  • Embraer: wings, elevators, air intakes, landing gear, fuel tanks
  • Aermacchi: front and rear fuselage sections
