APICS is a professional association for supply chain management and a provider of research, education and certification programs.[1][2]

History

In 1957, 20 production control managers formed the American Production and Inventory Control Society.[3] The organization later became an international association known as APICS.

APICS merged with the Supply Chain Council in 2014 and with American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L)[4] in 2015. APICS offers several professional designations.
