APT Satellite Holdings Limited is a Hong Kong-based investment holding company that is the principal operator of the Apstar satellite constellation. As at Dec 2015, APT Satellite Holdings owns and operates five in-orbit satellites that include APSTAR V, APSTAR VI, APSTAR VII, APSTAR-7B, and APSTAR-9A satellites giving it satellite coverage across Asia but also into Europe, Africa and the wider APAC region including Australia.[1] The company is headquartered in Hong Kong where it is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Its controlling shareholder is China Great Wall Industry Hong Kong Corp Ltd with an indirect 51% stake. As at 31 March 2016 the company had a market capitalisation of US$740m.[2]
