A French Gigolo or Cliente is a 2008 French drama film directed by Josiane Balasko and starring Nathalie Baye. It is based on "Cliente", the first novel written by Josiane Balasko, who was a big success.

Plot

Judith is a regular male prostitution and meet Patrick who hides his double life from his wife. She finds out by answering his phone and will catch him in his hotel room with a client. First offended by the behavior of her husband, she asks him to continue to "be-boy escort" to pay the bills of his hairdresser. Judith and Patrick then live a love story but Patrick renounces to stay with his wife, then one day he must choose between his wife and Judith.

The movie was first introduced during the Rome Film Festival, in October 2008. The film was also screen at the 2009 Seattle International Film Festival.
