Aag Ka Darya

Aag Ka Darya (Template:Lang-ur; River of Fire) is a novel written by Qurratulain Hyder in the context of an Indian subcontinent partition. It has been described as "one of the Indian Subcontinent’s best known novels".[1] The novel timelines spanned over two thousand years starting from the time of Chandargupta Maurya to the partition of 1947. It was published in Urdu in 1959 and translated by the author into English in 1998.[2]
