Abanazar (pantomime)

Abanazar is a character and the primary antagonist the Aladdin story and the pantomime production. He was also the basis for Jafar in the Disney version of Aladdin. He has been played over the years by actors such as Martin Clunes (2000), and Clive Mantle, who played him in the 2007-08 production of Aladdin at the Theatre Royal in Bath. Many characters such as Widow Twankey often gets his name wrong and they call him "Ave a Banana".
