Adriano José Viana Moreira (born January 30, 1983 in Póvoa de Varzim), simply known as Adriano, is a retired, Portuguese footballer who played as a goalkeeper.

Football career

After graduating from hometown Varzim SC's youth ranks, Adriano started his senior career in amateur football, moving straight to the top division two years after.

However, his stay at Vila do Conde, with Rio Ave FC, was not a happy one, has he only appeared in three league matches – nine overall – during three 1/2 seasons (the last two spent in the second level), playing second-fiddle to Spaniard Miguel Mora.

In January 2008, Adriano was purchased by Romanian CS Pandurii Târgu Jiu but, unconfirmed, returned to his country and signed with União da Madeira (third category). The following summer he stayed in that division, moving to C.A. Valdevez.
