Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) is an independent and unaffiliated news agency of Afghanistan formed in 1982 by Muhammad Yaqub Sharafat during USSR invasion of Afghanistan. The agency was often used as a source during the 2001 U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.

The Afghan Islamic Press is headquartered in Peshawar, Pakistan.
