Afidnes (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Αφιδνών, Sidirodromikos Stathmos Afidnon) is a railway station in Afidnes, a suburb north of Athens, Greece. It is situated on the Piraeus–Platy railway, at km 40.086 from Piraeus. It is served by trains of the Proastiakos line from Piraeus to Chalcis.[2] The station was opened on March 8, 1904. It has two platforms. It is located outside the village of Afidnes. After the station was built, a new settlement arose near it named Stathmos Afidnon ("Afidnes station"). Initially, the station was known as the Kiourka station (Κιούρκα), after the former name of Afidnes.
