Afonso Pires Gato (1210-?) was a Portuguese nobleman, member of the Court of Afonso III of Portugal.[1]

Biography

Afonso was the son of Pedro Nunes Velho and Maria de Baião a remote descendant of Mendo Alão.[2] His wife was Urraca Fernandes de Lumiares,[3] descendant of Sancho Nunes de Barbosa and Sancha Henriques.[4]
