Ahmed Latif (aka Engineer Ahmed Latif) ( born in Kabul in 1950) is an Afghan film director.

He graduated from Kabul University in 1971. He made many films between 1978-1992 . One film he made in 1991 is Gumashtam.

Some of his films were believed to be missing during the Afghan Civil War.

He returned to his native country in 2005 and found all his film were safe in the Kabul cinema.
