Aiden Dennison is a fictional character in South of Nowhere. Aiden currently attends King High School. He is played by Matt Cohen.

Season 1

Aiden was a basketball player at King High School, until Spencer's brother Glen Carlin came into the picture and ended up taking Aiden's basketball fame. The two had a few disagreements over the season and later on began to deal.

It was known that at one point Aiden dated Ashley. The two were together for a while, but their lives soon changed. After discovering that Ashley was pregnant, their relationship changed. Ashley planned on keeping the baby, but suffered a miscarriage. The two hadn't talked for a while, but are now good friends.

Though Ashley and Aiden broke up, Aiden began dating queen bee Madison Duarte. The two had a good relationship, but Madison began getting jealous of Aiden when he began hanging out with Ashley and Spencer. With Madison and her jealously, she decided to break up with him.

After becoming friends with Spencer, Aiden began having a crush on her. Though while Aiden began having feelings for her, Spencer was still questioning her sexuality. Aiden asked Spencer out on her date, but things didn't work out and Spencer revealed that she would rather be with Ashley instead of him. Surprisingly, he takes it well and offers his support.

Ater discovering that Spencer is a lesbian, Aiden returns to Madison and has sex with her. The two's relationship was short lived and they broke up.

Season 2

When Ashley's sister arrives on the scene, Aiden begins falling for her. And when Ashley finds out about this, she doesn't react well. She doesn't agree with Kyla dating Aiden. Kyla and Ashley have an argument, but Kyla and Aiden then begin dating.

When Madison begins having feelings for Aiden, she tries her best to try and break the two up. When Madison discovers that Kyla went to visit her ex boyfriend, she tells Aiden and Aiden breaks up with Kyla. With the break up in place, Madison tries flirting with Aiden, but then Aiden and Kyla discover what Madison was doing and the two decide to go back out.

Though Aiden is dating Kyla, he begins having feelings for Ashley again. Spencer gets upset over Aiden's feelings and tries desperately to end the love triangle. On Prom Night, Aiden goes to the Prom with Kyla, but he admits to Ashley his feelings for her. Spencer gets more upset and asks Ashley to choose who she wants to be. She is interrupted by a drive by shooting. It is said in season three Ashley will choose who she wants to be with.

Season 3

After the prom night shooting, Aiden is shot and badly wounded. However, he survives. After three months, Ashley returns from Europe and Aiden learns that he was the only one she called while she was gone (she didn't even call Spencer back). It is clear that Aiden still loves Ashley and after she and Spencer break up, he makes his move and he and Ashley get back together.

After he and Ashley get together, Aiden feels like he is just her little helper (she only calls him for small emergencies), not her boyfriend. He is still struggling with the trauma of the shooting, and cannot deal with it. So he ends it with Ashley, telling her that "the next time you have an emergency, do me a favor: call 911." He storms out of Ashley's loft, with both of them heartbroken.

Still traumatized by everything that has happened, Aiden begins to fall apart. He begins to have violent dreams and cannot turn to anyone. Eventually he loses it and almost beats a photographer to death who antagonizes Ashley. Due to the stress put on him by the shooting, it appears as if Aiden has developed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
