Al Jawf is a city in southeastern Libya, the capital of the Al Kufrah municipality in Libya.

The city is located at 24°13′N 23°18′E / 24.217°N 23.300°E / 24.217; 23.300 with an elevation 1,254 feet (382.2 meters) above sea level. In a 1984 census the city's population was 17,320. Al Jawf receives almost no rain whatsoever, averaging only .1 inch (2.5mm) per year. Summer high temperatures average above 100°F (37.8°C). Al Jawf Climatology

The city sits just to the west of the Kufra oasis. It is one of the most heavily irrigated oases in the Sahara.
