Alan E. Ashcraft Jr. was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives.

Biography

Ashcraft was born on March 5, 1906 in Beloit, Wisconsin.[1] He was a member of Phi Delta Phi and Sigma Phi.[2] He was married to his first wife, Ruth from 1930 to 1944. They had one child. He subsequently married Jean Jackson.[3]

Career

Ashcroft was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 1940. He served from 1941 to 1944. Later, he was a superior court judge from 1947 to 1950. He was a Republican.
