The Alcalá de Guadaira school was the name given to the circle of painters, initially brought together by Manuel Ussel de Guimbarda, who from 1890, centered on the figure of Emilio Sanchez Perrier, assembled and painted en plein air on the banks of the river Guadaíra, near Seville.
