Aleksandar Kocić (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Koцић; born March 18, 1969), is a Serbian former football goalkeeper.
He played in many teams such as Vlasina Vlasotince, FK Dubočica, FK Vojvodina, Levante UD, AC Perugia, Empoli F.C., Red Star Belgrade and Ethnikos Achnas.
International career
Kocić was capped 22 times with the Yugoslavian national team. He was set to appear in Euro 2000 but broke a toe while showering right before the tournament. His replacement was FK Obilić goalkeeper Milorad Korać.[1]
Management career
2008–2010
2011–2012
Kocić served as the goalkeeping coach of Serbia national football team since 2012 to 2015, having worked with Siniša Mihajlović (19 Games), Radovan Curcic (9 Games), Dick Advocaat (4 Games) and Ljubinko Drulovic (4 Games).
Tianjin Teda
As Dragomir Okuka became the head coach of Tianjin Teda in 2016, Kocić is invited to join his coaching team as a goalkeeper coach. They showed up together in the welcome ceremony held by the club.[2] Unfortunately, the team left Tianjin Teda after 22 games who didn't satisfy the club.
When Lee Jang-soo began his second season in Changchun as the head coach, Changchun Yatai hired Kocić as the goalkeeper coach. His predecessor is Yang Jingdong, who is now the vice president of Changchun Yatai.[3]
