Alexander Gruszynski (born June 19, 1950) is a Polish-American cinematographer, actor and film director. He attended the National Film School of Denmark, Copenhagen.[1]
In 1985 Gruszynski moved to America and is now a member of the American Society of Cinematographers. The films that he has served as the cinematographer for include Cast a Deadly Spell,[2] Tremors, Angus, The Craft, The Pagemaster, 54, Dick, Two Can Play That Game, Deliver Us From Eva, Five Fingers, Nancy Drew, This Christmas, Hamlet 2, Madea Goes to Jail, Good Deeds, and Madea's Witness Protection.
Awards
Gruszynski was nominated for the ASC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in Movies of the Week/Pilots in 1996 for Kingfish: A Story of Huey P. Long and won the CableACE for Cinematography in a Movie or Miniseries for that film. In 1995, he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography for his work on I Like It Like That.[3]
