Alfred Perry was a prominent Montrealer and fire marshal who, with a group of Protestant clergy and Montréal citizens, founded the Douglas Hospital (originally named the "Protestant Hospital for the Insane.") in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on July 19, 1881.[1][2][3]
